Position Title:	Database Developer
Location:	Dallas Fort Worth, Texas
Description:	Insala, a leading global provider of web based software for organizations implementing career development and talent management initiatives, is currently seeking a high performance individual to join the passionate, creative, and fun Insala Team. Applicants should desire a challenging, technologically advanced, fast paced growth environment to fill the Database Developer position. The Database developer assists with design, implementation, and maintenance of existing and proposed web based software products that support our client’s talent management initiatives. Analyzes data base requirements of the user department, applications programming and operations. Submits recommendations for solutions which require definition of the physical structure and functional capabilities of the data bases. Proposes detailed specifications and flowcharts, and coordinates installation of revised or new systems. REQUIREMENTS: Translates Business requirements into Logical and Physical database models Works with developers and project managers to create scalable, effective enterprise applications Participates in design and code review Creates tables, indexes, stored procedures, triggers and ad-hoc queries to produce a data access layer for Web Developers Manages database object migration between development, staging and production Creates SQL 2005 SSIS packages to manage ETL Supports database monitoring and performance tuning Supports database design and data dictionary specification documentation, including ERD diagrams Troubleshoots database problems and issues Participates in business/functional requirements and design reviews. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline 2+ years of professional database development experience in a professional software environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer – focused. Good personal work ethic and organization skills A team player capable of working with written and verbal requirements definitions Demonstrated ability to diligently solve technical problems In depth knowledge of SQL Server 2005 Strong understanding of database concepts including normalization, optimization, etc. Strong experience with SQL Server 2005 and Transact-SQL. Knowledge of XML technologies and VB and .net development preferred.
