The Challenge

To expand value added online membership offerings by providing a free automated career management system to its international membership from its website. Due to the global diversity of its membership the system had unique requirements, including:

• translation in different languages,
• accessible online and available 24 hours/7 days a week,
• offer a retail based one-on-one career consulting/coaching directory with contributing partner, Career Resources Consortium (CRC),
• provide assessment tools and interpretation by professional career consultants and coaches.

The Insala Solution

eCareerManager - To meet the needs of the diverse membership and incorporate the career consultant services, provided by CRC, Insala delivered the first ever state of the art online career transition management solution through its flexible technology platform in eCareerManager to include pay for fee assessments and in-depth professional assistance to manage all aspects of career development.

CFA collaborated with Insala and CRC to launch the Career Centre, a customized multi-lingual career transition system with automatic login integration through the current CFA member website available 24 hours a day, seven days a week which empowers CFA Institute's membership with a full suite of online career transition and career management tools available in 12 languages. The online tools and resources include:

• resume drafting and editing,
• interview skills, networking tips, job search campaign management,
• industry and company information tailored to financial professionals,
• the unique option to purchase online self-assessment tools and interpretation with credentialed professional career consultants and executive coaches.

The ability to purchase online multiple tiers of career service including assessments and interpretation by qualified consultant and purchase career consulting and coaching online is the first of its kind.

The Results

• there are over 27,000 users, almost 17% of CFA's membership,
• of those users 11.3% have purchased increased functionality of the Career Centre tools
• of those 40% have purchased consulting time.
