Global Online Connectivity
Three-quarters of Koreans between the ages of seven and 65
use the Internet, the most recent survey shows. Koreanclick
and Research International said Wednesday they arrived at
the figure by polling 5,000 Koreans.
In the survey, 73.8% of respondents said they use the
Internet more than once a month. Factored to the whole
population, that would mean 29.88 million people, 932,000 or
3.2% more than last March.

The number of Americans with broadband access reached 42% of
the US population in August 2005, increasing 16% since the
beginning of 2005.
In August 2005, the share of active US Internet users
connecting online via broadband from home reached an
all-time high, at 61.3%, compared with 51.4% of active
